This page contains links and information that will help to make your rental a safe one.  It is important that every renter is experienced, comfortable, and familiar with operating boats which are similiar to ours.  Also, you must be familiar with the body of water you are navigating.  Not knowing where you are on the water can be dangerous and/or cause very expensive repairs.  At Pat's Boat Rentals safety always comes first!

PA Fish and Boat Commission - This website contains information on safe boating, laws, where to boat, and how to obtain a boat safety certificate. 

On-line boat safety course - This is an official Pennsylvania on-line boat safety course.  Many other states offer on-line courses similiar to this one.  Beginning next year all renters will be required to have a boat safety certificate regardless of your age.  If you are planning on renting a boat from us, think ahead and take a boat safety course!

U.S Coast Guards Rental Boat Safety - This website has great information and videos that will keep you safe while boating.  We highly recommend that every renter visits this site.

NOAA nautical charts - Having a chart and being familiar with the water you're navigating is very important.  Visit this website to view and order charts.

Towing, Launching, and Loading your boat - For renters who choose to tow their own rental boat please read the information on this website.  Towing, lauching, and loading a boat takes practice.  If you do not have experience or do not feel comfortable handling this responsibility please use our delivery service.  Pat's Boat Rentals will get your boat in and out of the water safely!
